My last weekend

I realized this morning that this is my last weekend.  Next week is my last week at work so this s the last time I have to fit all the chores, shopping, cleaning, laundry into a 2 day span.  That is AWESOME!  Hopefully in a few months, I'll have a hard time knowing what day of the week it is.  Giggle

Retirement journey

I did it!  I gave my notice at work.  I'm going to retire.  No more badges, deadlines or alarm clocks.  The plan is to sell my now very expensive townhouse and move to a smaller less expensive place with a view of trees.  I thought I'd start capturing my thoughts here as I go through the process of transitioning from a worker to a retiree.  So far, my only regret is that no one has said, "but you look too young to retire!" ah well.  So let the count down begin...4 more days of work, then on to the next phase of life.

Autumn mini

Here is my first posting in a long while!  This is a mini made using a Following the Paper Trail pattern "Act Accordingly".  It was really fun to do and done totally from my stash of stuff.

Card for Kathy R.

My dear friend Kathy is recovering from surgery so  I made her this card with the new "Just Because Cards" cartridge.  I had to make the whale a girl so I added the flower from the "grow" card (#29).  The whale is a very fancy Orca since she is cut with glitter and foil papers!  I cut all the elements at 4 1/4" but didn't cut the card, I just layered everything on a white card stock card.  I also added lots of bling and a silver ribbon.  Feel better my friend, I'm praying for you!

Pink Stamper Pink-Green-Black Challenge

Hi, Robyn at My Pink Stamper (see the button on this page) is hosting a challenge today!  I made this bird banner card with the new Give a Hoot Cartridge and of course one of the my pink stamper stamps!  Thanks!

Sunglasses card

Hello!  I took a little creativity break and now I'm back in the craft room making cards.  This one has no real theme except I wanted to make the sunglasses on the Paisley cartridge.  The paper is DCWV and I used stickles and bling on the sunglasses and over the Papertrey Ink Sentiment.  I also cuttlebugged the background paper.  As I write I realize I must have been missing my craft tools because I used them all on this card!  LOL!
